'25TH Anniversary 1999 - 2024' Album by Denim Dan

Oh, There You Are

A milestone in Denim Dan’s development is reflected in their latest LP, “Denim Dan’s 25TH Anniversary 1999 - 2024,” a compilation that charts the evolution of the band.

The album opens with synth keys, played by Gordon Kent, mastery guitar riffs of Dave Gellis, complementing the robust bass lines laid down by Mike Nirack and Joe Nuecome. The percussion section, led by Lorenzo Crescibene, provides a solid backbone to the ensemble, while Ron Petrecelli's flute and Joey Simpson's harmonica add layers of complexity and soul to the music. And at the heart of it all is Michael Halitzer, aka Denim Dan, whose guitar and vocals serve as the guiding force of the band's sound in this album.

The music draws inspiration from influences such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, and The Beatles, while also infusing their unique sound that has matured over the decades. Some of the songs - like "Come Back Home" or "Bernalillo Baby" - seem to take you into a dream world of 70's nostalgia, while the others - like "Not Always Skies," "Don't Throw It Away," "Go Where Life Leads You" - stir you with exciting instrumentals and lyrics. One of the most poignant moments comes with the track "No Lies in Blue Skies." It's a powerful reminder of the band's past and the members they lost along the way, Jeffrey Edge and Ted Shinn. The emotion is palpable and the performance is heartfelt.

"Denim Dan's 25th Anniversary 1999 - 2024" is more than a collection of songs. It's a mosaic of experiences, influences, and memories that come together to form a picture of a band that has remained true to its roots while embracing the changes that come with time. Listen Now!
